Large Leaf Platter in Yellow Blue Ash

A one-of-a-kind stoneware platter that would make an eye-catching charcuterie platter when it’s not busy making your room look amazing!

I was having coffee out one morning when I spied a tree with gigantic leaves some distance away. I looked up the tree variety and learned that it was an invasive species so i didn’t feel to bad about cutting off one of the smaller leaves to see if it would make a good impression in clay. The inital test, a bowl, came out great so I grabbed one of the larger leaves to see if a platter would work. And here is the result! Glazed in Yellow Blue Ash to help bring out the textural detail of the leaf.
