Large Mahogany Preening Goose

This elegant goose has an elm body with a mahogany neck and head. Chris personally chooses each section of the tree before beginning each sculpture. Shape and form are divined from the unique characteristics of every piece of wood. Chris further hones the natural essences by purposefully leaving lichen bark and moss attached making each one an original. A fine hand finish is applied to each bird to bring out subtle grain patterns and enhance the colors of the wood while keeping an antiqued style.
