NCSSM-Morganton Mug

This mug design was commissioned by the folks over at the new North Carolina School for Science and Math campus here in Morganton, NC, to commemorate the dedication of the campus on June 10, 2022. The mug incorporates red surface clay from the campus site in the stoneware blend from which the mugs are made, connecting the mugs to the campus for all time.

The mug holds a generous 15-16 ounces and has a large handle for easy gripping. The mug is glazed with my popular satin matte white glaze and features the a depiction of the sculpture that will soon be cited at the entrance of the NCSSM-Morganton campus.

Dimensions: 4.75” height x 3.125” diameter, 15 ounces

As a handmade mug, dimensions and form vary slight with each one.

The mugs are safe for the microwave, but I recommend hand-washing for clean-up. The abrasiveness of most dishwashing detergents can degrade the quality of the decal image over time.
